Um, yeah...
So, I will probably not blog much anymore until I start my summer travel blog (which will be a different blog). I have a twitter account now which you could follow if you want. Micro-blogging is so much easier for me because I can do it from my phone all the time, rather than waiting until I'm around my computer next (not very often, I don't usually bring it with me).

Micro-Managing
I think I'm gonna get a twitter because I heard someone call it "micro-blogging".
Putting the word "micro-" in front of boring words makes them cool. Like microfinance or microcredit. Or Microcosm although I'm not sure what a normal cosm is.

What you find is not always what you were looking for.
I have had a fabulous day so far, and I am confident that the other 2 great things I have planned will be as well!
I am very pleased with today's adventures especially because yesterday I felt nasty and sick.
I got up this morning and went to a training at my internship which was alright, but the awesome part was that I had no time to get food on campus and so I got McDonalds which was delish! I never go there, but I love their breakfast.
Second awesome thing: I was driving home, and I was planning to go to the book sale anyway but training got done early so I was in no rush. Then I saw a garage sale sign! The hunt was on! I followed the signs for three or four turns and then I lost the trail. But, I did find......a car wash! I passed two or three actually, because they were on the wrong side of the road or whatever, but then I pulled into one that was benefiting the "Make a Wish" Foundation which is a very worthy cause.
I should mention that I have not had my car washed since last September when Shantell and I crossed the border back into the US and got lost trying to find the Scotts' house.
So anyway there were all these little kids under the age of ten and their Dads washing my car! It was awesome! And the sun was shining and beautiful. Today was a good day to get my car washed because it is pretty much almost maybe please Springtime for Realsies.
By this time I had given up on the garage sale and pressed on towards the book sale, which was at the fairgrounds. Something to note about the Eugene Fairgrounds: Parking is atrocious and the entrances are really screwy and weird. However, I managed to not have any embarrassing traffic pattern moments and I got an amazing parking spot as somebody was leaving!
The book sale was epic. That is all I can say. I love books sales because they are chaotic and awesome in a way that book stores and libraries can never hope to be. Also, there is strategy involved, especially at this sale because there were so many tables! This thing was huge.
I spent $28.75 on my 18 books, two VHSs, one DVD, and one book on tape. I invested in multiple (5!) Star Wars books which I am so excited about. My haul also included: 3 travel guides for places I will go this summer and one about how to pack, two road trip memoirs (Blue Highways-score! a book sale miracle- and Through Painted Deserts by Donald Miller). I got a couple other books that looked fun too and I almost bought a book about books before I realized that it was the same book I got at the UO library sale last month but with a different cover.
All in all a great afternoon. However, by not being hungry enough for lunch before the book sale I have now screwed up my eating schedule because tonight we are having a very early dinner.....
I will go have a snack and eat it outside while reading. Ta!

SO ANNOYED about the whole elections thing
Of course Robin Holmes would have the day off today so that NOTHING WILL BE RESOLVED until next week! Grr....This must be how Bush and Gore supporters felt in 2000. Completely ridiculous. The administration needs to stay out of student elections. Let the CES and AEI students vote next year. The candidates are exhausted and no one has complained or ever cared. Who brought this up?
I mostly feel sorry for Emma and for Aaron Tuttle, who's getting a ton of hate calls. He has a tough job. The ASUO elections season is always completely ridiculous but this year must be some kind of record.
Emma- you go girl! You have been nothing but strong, gracious, and professional through this whole thing. I hope it was worth it. Go home and get some rest for the weekend.
