InterVarsity has a Hostage Policy

"IV should not yield to demands, including the payment of ransom or other extortion, issued through the use of hostage taking or extortion."

Hmmm. I signed the release. I'm no legal expert, but it sounds like there had to be some danger of a volunteer being taking hostage so that the policy got put into the release form. Probably not from Summit, but from some of the overseas trips I can imagine that's a legitimate thing to worry about being liable for. Anyway, intriguing.

I had an interesting day.
